Committed to Sustainability

As experienced florists, we have come to understand the negative impact of floral foam on the environment, and as a result, we have made the conscious decision to eliminate its use in our designs. Instead, we prioritize alternative, eco-friendly methods in all of our arrangements. Floral foam is often used as a structural support for flowers in designs, but it is a non-biodegradable plastic, made from hazardous materials, that can harm the environment and the sea life. We are proud to be a part of the movement to reduce the use of floral foam in the industry.

Floral Foam Health Risks

Floral foam, also known as floral wet foam, is a synthetic and non-biodegradable plastic that is commonly used as a base for arranging flowers. However, it is made from a mixture of potentially harmful chemicals, such as barium sulfate, carbon black, formaldehyde, and phenolic foam, which can have negative effects on both sea life and human health.

Finishing with a Positive Environmental Impact

The floral industry has a significant impact on the environment, including waste in landfills, the use of harmful chemicals, and the production of carbon emissions. Our goal is to bring attention to these issues and promote an eco-friendly approach to floral design. We hope to encourage consumers and other industry professionals to consider the environmental impact of their choices, and to make more sustainable decisions when it comes to purchasing and creating with flowers.

How We Deliver Your Flowers

At our studio, our commitment to sustainability extends beyond just our floral arrangements. We strive to minimize our environmental impact in every aspect of our business, including the way we deliver your flowers. To avoid the use of plastics, we wrap our bouquets in natural and biodegradable materials such as Kraft paper and bind them with jute twine. For table arrangements, we source our vessels from antique shops & local ceramic artists. Whenever possible, we make deliveries on foot, only resorting to vehicle transportation for large-scale events, orders that require great distances or arrangements that are particularly fragile.
